Most of these collectibles are from Europe and Japan. American distributors have issues with rights and distributions so they can't easily make such collectibles. Even putting special features in DVDs can cause problems for them so R2-R4 are sometimes at better than R1 DVDs!

AYOS IKAW TALAGA! You think of everything, filmphiler! Although I am a fan of Wong Kar Wai, i totally didn't enjoy 2046. Siguro nga I have to deal with the fact na Kar Wai is more into visuals but not stories. Haaaayy.
I've read some mixed reviews about "2046". Some liked it, some don't. As for me, I haven't seen it actually. I have the copy but I've been reserving it. 'Yung tipong kapag wala na talaga akong mapanood. Hehehe. I don't know exactly why but I'm just not into seeing it immediately. But I do love "In The Mood For Love". I believe that it is one of the most beautiful film ever made, metaphorically and literally speaking! Siguro 'yun di ang dahilan kung bakit ayoko pa munang panoorin 'yung "2046". Ayokong sirain 'yung iamge ng "In The Mood" in my mind by seeing the sorta sequel to it. :-)
Troy = drool!! I like the Roman Holiday set too. Parang ang dainty dainty and sweet...just like the movie. Must cost a bomb though.
Prices of such collectibles range from $100-$300!!! And they are usually in limited edition - 1,000-5,000 copies only. So for serious collectors (usually the super rich!), they have to grab a copy as soon as they become available...
